What information do I need to provide to get a custom broach quote?

To quote a custom broach, please provide: a drawing (DXF, PDF, or STEP format) showing the bore profile, key dimensions, tolerances, and finish requirements; the workpiece material; approximate annual quantity; and your required delivery date. What is the minimum order quantity for custom broaches?

There is no minimum order quantity. SK Broach supplies single prototype broaches for development and testing, as well as high-volume production orders. We understand that new product development often requires just one or two trial broaches.

What is the lead time for custom broaches?

Typical lead time for custom broaches is 2–4 weeks from drawing approval and order confirmation. Complex profiles or very large broaches may require 4–6 weeks. Contact us with your drawing for a specific lead time.

Can you manufacture broaches to a sample or worn broach?

Yes. If you have an existing broach (even a worn one), we can measure it and manufacture a replacement or duplicate. Please send the sample or detailed measurements including the profile sketch.

What is your broach design capability?

Our engineering team can assist with broach design if you provide the bore profile requirement but do not have a complete broach drawing. We will design the broach tooth geometry, pitch, and overall length based on your bore profile and workpiece material.

Do you offer broach reconditioning / resharpening?

Yes. We offer resharpening and reconditioning of worn broaches to extend their service life. Please contact us with your worn broach details — we can often regrind and restore a worn broach to near-new performance at a fraction of the cost of a new broach.
